Frequently asked

What is Roster Card?

Roster Card is a national social network for creative professionals and entrepreneurs, built around a trading-card metaphor. Every member has a collectible trading card as their profile, your connections form a binder, and the whole network is called The Deck. It's a platform by Style Driven, a creative agency.

Who is Roster Card for?

It's for creative professionals and entrepreneurs across the United States — designers, developers, photographers, videographers, illustrators, art directors, copywriters, founders, agency owners, consultants, and more. If you make creative work or build companies, there's a card for you.

How does Roster Card work?

Three steps. First, claim your card: sign up and build your profile with your name, discipline, location, bio, portfolio, and links. Second, build your binder: browse The Deck to discover other creatives and connect to collect their cards. Third, earn your standing: activity earns Exposure Bucks, which unlock perks, and your card climbs the earned tiers as you build a real profile, real connections, and real endorsements.

What are Exposure Bucks?

Exposure Bucks (EB) are in-app points members earn through activity — completing your profile, connecting with others, giving and receiving endorsements, checking in at events, and referring new members. Earning EB unlocks platform perks and reflects how active and engaged a member is. EB is capped in the rarity score, so it can never carry a tier on its own.

What are the rarity tiers?

There are two kinds. The earned tiers — None, Starter, Rising, and Select — are scored from your card: completion, connections, endorsements, and Exposure Bucks. You climb those. Holographic and Minted sit above them and are never earned: no score, balance, or streak produces them. They are granted by Style Driven off a nomination, and a card has to have reached Rising before anyone can put it forward. Each tier carries its own card treatment.

Is Roster Card free to join?

Yes. Claiming your card and joining The Deck is free. Sign up, build your profile, and start connecting with other creatives.

What are The Deck and the binder?

The Deck is the full network of member cards — browse it to discover people. Your binder is your personal collection of the members you've connected with. Each card also carries a permanent member number reflecting signup order.

How is a card's rarity score calculated?

Four things are weighed. Each endorsement is worth 20 points, each connection 12, each percent of card completion 1, and each Exposure Buck 0.25 — but only your first 400 EB are counted, so EB can add at most 100 points and can never carry a tier on its own. Starter starts at 75 points, Rising at 200, Select at 350. A finished card is worth 100 on its own.

How do you earn Exposure Bucks?

Activity pays. 25 EB for claiming your card and 25 more when it hits 100%, 10 to both people when a connection request is accepted, 15 for an endorsement received and 5 for giving one, 5 for an event RSVP and 40 for a verified check-in at the door, 10 for starting a thread on the community board, and 100 for bringing a new member who finishes their card.

What do Exposure Bucks unlock?

EB unlocks perks at set balances. 75 EB — Post & start threads on the community board. 300 EB — Unlimited cold outreach — message anyone, no daily cap. 500 EB — Nominate members at Rising or above for rarity upgrades · 12 portfolio slots (earned max). The rest of the ladder is standing rather than a new mechanic. Holographic and Minted are never on it: they are granted by nomination and gate on rarity, not on EB.

What can you spend Exposure Bucks on?

Extra room on your card, and tips. An extra link slot costs 20 EB — 5 are free and 25 is the ceiling. An extra portfolio slot costs 30 EB — you start with 8, earn up to 12, and can reach 16 in total. You can also attach a 10 EB tip to an endorsement you give. Spending draws from your spendable balance and never touches the lifetime standing that sets your tier.
